Assistant High Commission(AHC) of India, Chittagong launches Suborno Jayanti Scholarship (SJS) portal.

Today (24 february) Assistant High Commissioner of India in Chittagong, Dr. Rajeev Ranjan has formally launched the Suborno Jayanti Scholarship portal in the presence of prominent ICCR Scholars and ITEC Alumni.

This was in pursuant to Honorable PM Modi’s momentous call during his visit to Bangladesh in March 2021 encouraging our Bangladeshi brethren to avail India’s flagship scholarship schemes and ITEC programme [1000 Suborno Jayanti Scholarships (SJS) for students (ICCR: 500 seats) and officials (ITEC: 500 seats)].

These scholarships are mainly intended to attract the best talents from Bangladesh and provide them the right opportunity to promote synergies between the two countries under India’s New Education Policy.

In pursuance of this objective, a dedicated web portal for this scholarship:https://www.sjsdhaka.gov.in/, has been opened for public today. The SJS website will guide applicants to both the ICCR and ITEC sites.

The event was hosted at the prestigious Cider International School, Chittagong in presence of its Chairman and a prominent industrialist Mr. Nadir Khan.
